How often do you do an observation for each child, at the moment i am doing them weekly just wondered your views or what ofsted are expecting. Thanks

I tend to write it down when I see it happening.... then do one focus obs per child per week Ofsted were happy with this when they came - tbh she only looked at the leaving books which show ongoing obs and planning in place - the rest I explained verbally Sarahx

I do observation mostly when a child does something new or we are doing something new
To be honest it is not something I do on a weekly basis

I'm trying to get myself sorted and do at least one a week (lets see how long that last lol) Although with a new lot of children and had a break more up for it again

Im the same as Angel.
I dont set myself to a weekly or daily observation schedule. I do it as I have time and as the children are doing something new.
