Hi Little sprogs - see if this helps..... There are 2 areas of learning and development currently used by people who care for children under 5 The first is Birth to 3 matters, for (surprisingly enough) babies and children up to age 3; the second is the Foundation Stage curriculum for children aged 3 to 5. These ages are moveable eg a 2.5 year old might be working within the Foundation stage if they are particularly forward whereas a 4 year old with learning disabilities might still be functioning within the birth to 3 curriculum There are some great activities posted by Angel for birth to 3 matters - we had to move them into password protected but contact Pauline for access In Sept 2008, we are all moving over to the Early Years Foudation Stage (EYFS) which covers both birth to 3 (bttm / bt3) and the Foundation stage and BTTM and Fs are being gradually phased out, although both remain good practice and are incorporated in the EYFS. You will find it hard to get the packs now though as they have been discontinued - they are however, online - www.standards.dfes.gov.uk/primary/publications/foundation_stage/940463/www.qca.org.uk/qca_5984.aspxIf you are inspected before Sept 2008, you will be inspected on the current standards and curricula so you need a working knowledge of each Hope this helps! Sarahx
