hello all just thought i would share with you our wonderfull morning we have had at our local suppport group we had people from our area come in today showing us heuristic play they had a great set up for the children to explore and also some treasure baskets i didnt know this till today but apparently treasure baskets are for children who are not mobile and heuristic is for the ones that are. they had a great big soft blanket with losts of things very cheap too they had pebbles , chains , soaps , shells , tins , lolly sticks wooden pegs lots of different containers , jar lids and many more and heuristic play is made from all natural items you shouldnt use plastic didnt know that till today either as i have plastic in my treasure baskets. just thought if anyone intreasted in this like i am as all mine under 3 then maybe suggest to your local support worker coz thats who arranged ours and it was the lady from b23 that came out too which was good was asking her some questions too
