Well, I have had my training on B23 and am waiting for EYFS training which in my area starts next month.
However, what should I be doing in the foundation stage? eaI haven't had any information or training or anything on this area, I currently mind a 3 year old and have nothing in writing and no documents about the foundation stage to work from.
I am also due an Ofsted inspection very soon and need to get something in place pronto.
Help please!

Hello again (posted on your other thread)
As far as I understand it the EYFS does not come into force until next Sept. You are OK to use EYFS BUT if you are due an inspection before next Sept then the inspector will be looking for BTTM and not EYFS.
Hope that makes some sense.

i do my foundation trainging on sept 24th so will let you all know about it then, went on a course on monday nite called teacher talk really interesting looking at how a shy child can often be left out and a sociable child will take over, i have this with my daughter she will talk over one of the mindies and speak and answer for him, it has made me more aware to bring him into what we are doing instead of him doing his own thing which i thought he was quite happy doing xxxxx

As I mind two children who are 4 years old and at the moment attend reception part-time then going full-time in January, do I have to do anything towards the Foundation Stage. I've only been childminding 3 weeks but wasn't sure that with the Foundation Stage, is there paperwork or booklets that I need to be working to. Thanks

You shouldnt be doing anything with the EYFS until sept 2008. If you are due an inspection make sure you are working to B23 and not the EYFS. Once you have had your inspection if you would rather switch to the EYFS then its personal choice but it is not a requirment until next September

My problem is that I have been reading Ofsted reports on 'outstanding' childminders, and they do seem to like them to working to the Foundation stage guidelines (before EYFS comes into force, as this has not been superceeded yet.
Foundation stage is also mentioned alot in the article 'Getting On Well' from Ofsted, but I don't seem to be able to access the information that I need to be able to follow it.
I have tried the number tasha gave me, but nothing ever happens, I can't order it online anymore, and although it should be available to download, there is still no link for it on Ofsted's website.
So how can I plan and implement something that I can not even access!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have even asked my school for a copy on loan, and they don't have one.
I may have to resort to Ebay, you can buy anything on there!!!!!
