Mileage allowance - when do we get it?

Is this a daft question?

do we actually get our mileage allowance as in cash in our banks or is it taken out of the non taxable claims if you know what i mean?

Hi Nadmaj,

No, it isn't given back to you - if you claim 40p per mile in your accounts and then it would come off in your expenditure.
