I put 90% through. As most of the time I'm on here it's work related, either policies, printing resources etc or on these forums seeking out new knowledge!

I agree completely. Although maybe 100%. I manage to relate everything I do on my laptop back to childminding.

Ask yourself honestly - would I have bought this if I wasn't a childminder? How much time do I spend on here non-childminder related If you're anything like me - it's 99.9%! Sarahx

I'm putting 100% through for mine. It will only be used for business, I shall be glad to access my stuff without moans & groans from kids they've got their homework/friend waiting on MSN or Club Penguin & poor dh barely gets a look in.
I've or on a 0% finance plan with Dell (they've got various options for business users). But I can't recommend Dell at all. I've sent 8 emails, they've replied twice but neither reply answers the question! The first 3-4 days they bombarded me with phone calls complaining I had'nt returned the paperwork (1st phone call was 12 hours after I placed order online!). And the phone conversations are VERY hard work - eg I say "I posted the forms to you already". They say "Okay Madam I'll post the forms to you".

Shame you've had problems with Dell Susi, we bought a Dell a few months ago and they were fantastic with all the queries.
Email replies within 24 hours and they always phoned up to check afterwards that the query had been dealt with properly.
Perhaps they have upgraded their customer services recently!

I bought a laptop for business a couple of months ago i phoned the inland revenue as well to see how to put it through my books. I was told as long as it was purely for business i could put 100% of the cost through as follows. 50% of the total cost for the 1st year & 25% for the next couple of years after that until it is paid for. I have it written down somewhere she even told me which box on the tax return to put it in i will look for it in a bit.

Jenn lol
i know what you mean. I was spending every waking hour upstairs doing paperwork so bought a laptop so I could sit downstairs with hubby in an evening to work or let him actually get on the internet himself. He still can't get on the internet as if he goes on upstairs I can't access it downstairs so guess who loses out.
helped even less since I found this fourm

We got a router, not something I wanted but let hubby win the argument.
Guess who is always on the laptop? Being able to watch tele at same time.
That's right hubby is sent to attic bedroom so I get the comfort of downstairs.
£120 well spent (can get cheaper routers)

We do have wireless internet but if hubby is on the main computer then I cannot use the internet as it is sooooooooo slow. So I get to watch tv and use the internet and he doesn't lol
