Having seen and replied to the story sack thread I was wondering if anybody had thought about using a song sack or nursery rhyme sack.
I think about what songs I want to sing with the children and put items inside the sack (I usually rummage through charity shops or car boots to find the necessary objects). The children put their hand in and pull out an object which corresponds with a song and we sing it.
e.g. Bus=wheels on the bus Stuffed elephant = Nelly the elephant Cow = old macdonalds farm Frog = five little speckled frogs Plastic orange = oranges and lemons Star = twinkle twinkle little star
I also do the same with nursery ryhmes -
Spider = incy wincy spider Miniture doll = little miss muffet
The list is endless

Thats a fab idea. I just need to make sure I know all the words to the songs!!!
This forum is sooooo helpful, especially for people like me who are shall I say "imaginatively challenged" !!!
That was one of my childminding concerns, that I wouldn't be able to think of enough activities. No chance of that being on this forum.
