I need to buy my craft bits for Christmas. I really want to buy something for them to take home as a gift and have a 3 year old and a 13 month old. DO any of you have any good ideas used from previous years?

Bake some cookies in Christmas shapes - let them decorate - also decorate a box to put cookies in.
Buy some wooden photo frames from Ikea - remove glass - paint with acrylic paint - decorate with stick-on jewels or foam stickers or whatever you've got. Replace glass when finished put in photo of child that you've taken (perhaps from an outing) wrap in tissue paper.
Visit local resource centre if you have one - I usually get some nice boxes from there plus toiletries - decorate box, fill with shredded tissue paper, let child choose some toiletries to put in, cover with cellophane.
Cut out bauble shape, have child put handprint in middle, look on internet for handprint poem, laminate when dry
I'm sure you'll get lots of other ideas - have fun

I never thought about recommending Baker Ross and I use their stuff a lot.
Have bought some wooden mini-sleighs for the children to paint and decorate this Christmas. They are really cute.

Cut out bauble shape, have child put handprint in middle, look on internet for handprint poem, laminate when dry I kind of do this, but actually with a real bauble ( shatterproof!) - I did it with my own children, and also did it this year with my friends baby as a surprise gift.. Paint the child's hand in a contrasting paint, and give them the bauble to grasp, then take it away straight away and leave it to dry If you want you can dip it into glitter or fake snow stuff while the paint is wet This is really good as pretty much any age can do this with a little help

that is a great idea - thank you and simple too! The best are always the simplest. As she is so little I don't think I can get her involved in anything too 'crafty' but that sounds great
