One of my ex-minded children came round with a thank-you card and a bottle of wine because I had filled out some references for her to get a job. It was an important job so there had been quite a lot of paperwork for me to fill in but I didn't mind one bit. But she insisted that she wanted me to have the wine because she was so grateful because she had got the job. Bless her. I cared for her from 6 weeks until she was 14 years old, we kept in touch after she left and she has also bought us an invitiation to her 21st birthday party in a few weeks. I feel so proud that she has grown into such a beautiful, kind and considerate young lady and that I have been part of her life. Her parents were among some of the best I've ever had and although we do have to have a moan on here sometimes about parents, there are lots of lovely ones out there too. Makes it all worthwhile!

Thats a really lovely story and makes you realize why we all love our job so much How nice of them to go to the trouble of doing that it does show that there are some nice parents around
I looked after a baby from 3 mths he is 16 now and although I do not mind him anymore he comes and stays with us once a month for a weekend he is part of our family and we all love him to bits His parents like yours are some of the best that Ive ever met. They always treated me so well , flowers , chocolates if I worked late for them . So very different to the baby's parents that have just left me !
It just shows also Pauline what a good job you are doing too!!
Enjoy the party and let us know how it goes
