I have a little boy I mind for thats 8 months and this week he seems to be getting bored of his toys that I have for his age group.
Ive been thinking about putting together a treasure basket but have no idea where to start.
Can anyone help me with any other ideas?
thanks

I look after an eight month old boy too and he loves bubbles, either putting his hands in them in a bowl of water or me blowing them and he tries to get them! I think it's really good for his hand/eye coordination.
He also likes me singing and dancing with him although after a while he tends to nod off for some reason!

I have a 6 month old who loves going out for walks... and watching me while I cook etc He also likes tummy time and having a kick while he watches me pulling faces at him. He loves the plastic mirror and having his tummy tickled I have very few toys for him... it's mostly being with me he loves most Sarahx

Thanks for the ideas.
I never thought of bubbles.
We have tiggle time and silly song time and he does also likes it when I dance. In fact he gets into fits of laughter, doesnt say much for my dancing.
I'd love to do messy time with him but Im just scared he'll eat it as everything goes in his mouth at moment.

I've looked as well - same couldn't find it
Heres my list - anybody got any more ideas?
This is what I have in my two baskets (2 because I have two littlies and with mouthing everything I tend to keep it separate - sterilize/wash and then distribute it again between the baskets)
Large wooden bangle, several wooden soft hairbrushes (Diff sorts) very small fine cheese grater, assorted ribbons, several small boxes(some wooden some tin) with assorted chains, wooden whisk, metal whisk with a sort of snooker ball pushed into the middle, Pine cone, old fashioned clothes pegs, assorted kitchen items including wooden spoons which I have put happy and sad faces on, small pots which have Plasticine models in water and glitter with the pot lids glued fast, measuring spoons ( teaspoons etc) honey drizzle stick, large marble egg, body shop 'stuff' eg. nail brush, body brush, scouring pad (the green ones) pumice stone, body massage wooden thingamies, shiny metal lids, cd, hairy curlers (?) squidgy mat (a plastic A4 wallet with shower gel in it and glitter sealed with cellotape put inside a A4 zip lock wallet and made secure) assorted balls(big enough not to be able to be put in the mouth) assorted small solid ornaments - elephant, girl etc - some wooden some china/pot, cotton reals, cow bell, large shells, sml clear juice bottle half filled with rice.
The body shop and the kitchen shop will give you a good starting point.

One of my 9mnth mindee loves to play with the bubbles of the top of the washup. I put her up in her highchair, run the water so I get a high mountain of bubbles and then capture them and put them on her tray - she loves it - plus it gives me 5 mins to get the washing up done!! It makes for a lovely photo for Ofsted too!!
