I only tend to spend up to £10.00 per child depending on how many children I have
Although J has a lego wagon this year that was on sale from £17.49 to £13.11 Haven't chose anything for the other children yet as they are all newbies.
Good idea to put money in an account though

I buy gifts for the children for birthday and Christmas and put it in my accounts. As I have the minded kids, my own and several in the family and sevearl friends rugrats it all gets rather expensive so I try to limit outside the family presents to £5 - rather stingy I know! Even better when its on a 3 for 2!

I try to do the same as you Vik £5 or £6 per child
I also tend to buy 3 pay for 2
I just got some books from M&S and with the discount number I put on here the other day I got them all half price so a great bargain
I have 12 children on my books I just could not run to £10 per child but I do tend to spend a little more for a birthday because then it is only one child to buy for
We also make sweets etc and the children take them home

I spend between £5 and £10 each child but try and get bargains and buy them what they want - within reason. We do an activity every Christmas where we make a wish list collage from the argos catalogue - I choose something from what they've said they want from there usually! Yes, I put a gift and card plus extra craft materials through my accounts for Christmas and birthdays Sarahx

Hi
I also tend to only spend £5.00 on each child, but this year I got some bargains in Boots and all the presents only cost £2.50 each but they all should be been £10.00 each.
I only have one parent that appreciates everything I do with her little boy and presents I buy him for birthday etc.
Does anyone else feel as if sometimes the parents just expect that there child is going to get a present.

I'm the same and spend around £5 - £8 per child. I do try to find something that they really like if possible, if not I get them books. Yes you can put it through as expenses. I don't think there is a limit John, although the might be suspicious if it was a lot of money!

I usually spend about $20 per child ( £8) I only have two children at the mo. I like to get them books or they have a favourite toy or game at my house i will try to get them that. The parents of my minded children usually get my own children a gift too which is nice.

I am mean as I only do Christmas presents (although I know most people do birthdays and Easter as well - although I do make them all a card for birthdays and make it personal to them)
I spend around £5 per child. Under 5's get a book and over 5's get a craft type gift .g one this year is getting a badge making kit. I do try to make it along the lines of somethng they like though as much as possible.

The parents of my minded children usually get my own children a gift too which is nice. I agree that is so nice isn't it? My kids used to get some lovely gifts (me too!!) and one of my ex mindees now buys for my grandchildren!! I still buy her a gift too as she came to me for 14 years so we have a special relationship

I usually spend anywhere between £10-£15 on each of the children but I only have 3 on my books.
If I had more the amount would go down accordingly.

I have 7 mindees and buy them at Birthday, Easter and Christmas. Spend about £10 at both birthday and christmas.
This year theyve all got Pyjamas, Selection Box, My Little Pony(girls), Matchbox cars (boys) plus we have a Xmas Party and they all get a party bag with ballons, sweets, bubbles, bangles etc
I claim for all of it as well
All of my parents think its great that I treat all the kids the same and are tickled pink when they get their present as well that the kids have made whislt they have been here. Nomally xmas cards, personalised callenders, keyrings, pot-pouri bags, xmas decoration.

Hi there,
This is my first Christmas as a Childminder, but luckily for me my daughter's just started working at Argos - so I can get a discount! I have spent £10 per child max., and I have 8 at the moment - so it can be quite expensive can't it?
I think next year I will start getting them earlier, so its not such an expense!
I also get b'day pressies for them.

i've spent £15 on M birthday which is next week, and £9 on Christmas. Only spent £5 on other mindee but she only comes for 2 afternoons a week, and only started couple months ago.
M's parents always buy for my 2, even gifts when they've been on holiday.
