It is not actually raining here for once lol, bit windy though.
I actually have a day off today, so glutton for punishment my 2 children have invited friends round for tea. I felt like i should make the most of a proper day off, as normally even if i am not working during day, i would still have after school mindees.
So just enjoying my last half hour of peace and quiet now!!!!!
Trying to plan a party for friday afternoon aswell, as it is one of my mindees last day. She is 3 this month and i have been looking after her since she was 4 months old. Bit sad. Gonna have a party here for her and invite some other childminders. Have to keep it secret though coz if my dd finds out there will be hell to pay. Having only been at school since september, she asks me everyday what have we done, feels like she is missing stuff bless her.
hope no one gets too wet or blown away on school run.

utterly miserable here lol, i got wet, cold and windblown while walking around town And you know i was a happy bunny when i found out my windows were being replaced, well i'm not now, found out today that upstairs has a leak through the chimney so they're taking the chimney stack off tomorrow and aren't replacing it. That means that they're coming tomorrow morning to take my lovely gas fire away and replacing it with a cr*ppy cheap electric one. Scaffolding is also going up tomorrow. And they may not be replacing the windows, the man will check tomorrow and decide, (saying that once he sees the panes of glass through the rotten wood he should say yes lol). Will be spending this evening moving my furniture away from the windows *sigh* xxx

Oh Theresa you do sound fed up! I got absolutely soaked on the school nursery collection run... me and baby and 2 toddlers doing impressions of drowned rats! Home for hot chocolate and a fluffy warm towel each.... all snuggled up on sofa singing songs together... I nearly fell asleep LOL Sarahx

i am sarah lol, i love my gas fire and i know what my landlord is like and he'll give me a horrible two bar fire that will be expensive to run and not very warm.
Hot chocolate sounds yummy, think i'll go and make some lol
got to say snuggling up on the sofa sounds lovely, but getting that wet isn't lol, bet your mindees loved the puddles though

Its not nice here today as Theresa said 'utterly miserable' but I personally think thats Stoke all year round.
Had a driving lesson in the rain this morning, Ive always put them off when its been raining before but decided I must get it over with.
Stopped raining now, just damn cold!

thanks susan, i have to say i do consol myself by saying that at least i've got a roof and a home, i know it sounds daft but on cold days like today i always think about the homeless and how cold they must be.

It's not been too bad a day here - windy and cold but no rain thankfully.
Theresa - sorry about your fire but fingers x'd for new windows when the man comes tomorrow - you could always try bribery
