sorry i have only posted quick bin so busy will try and catch up at weekend. i recieved a letter yesterday from the data protaction agency and it says some business are excemp some arent etc: cant really make sense of it to see if im exempt coz its all in jibberish lol i think its because when i have advertised in yell.com etc i have put peace of mind childcare as my name thats who it was addressed too??
and it says you have to pay over 100 quid if im not exempt to be a busniess using personal details
ahas anyone else experienced this or could give me any advice furthur many thanks i am worried and confused !!!

Hi Stacie, good to 'see' you here Just don't keep personal details of parents/children on your computer and you have absolutely nothing to worry about. It's probably just a company trying to scare you into parting with your money!! ......... DON'T!!

You don't have to pay anything unless as has already been said you keep info in specific places. if I remember rightly a couple of years this was doing the rounds at £95 and you must pay this or get into trouble.
The only thing I have Data protection wise is a permission slip signed to say parents are aware that there phone numbers are kept with my mum and hubby in case of an emergency so they can be contacted in a dire emergency (covers me then)
