Hi Everyone, I have two grown up children who used to go to childminders when they were young. I'm now looking for a childminder for my unplanned (but very welcome!! ) little one. The changes to the childminding system are unbelievable from how it was years ago. I have to say how impressed I am with all the developments that have been made, you all have so much work to do meeting all the regulations, you all deserve a BIG pat on the back. Well done.

Hi It's nice to hear from someone who has seen both sides and lovely to know you appreciate it. Hope you and your little one manage to find a suitable childminder soon.

Hello there,
Yes, things have changed a great deal. I've been registered for 25 years and have seen so many different rules and regulations come and go.
(I've contacted you about your childminding needs)
Cheers, Polly

Hi
I must say even in the last 5 years it has changed, I went trough my registration this year started with the 2 pre reg's that were a great help, and start childminding F/T in 12 Days .....
When I was looking origianlly for my son in 2001 it was very different as you had to go through social services,
My mum did some childminding when we were younger about 20 years ago and were q's by social services to see if my mum was OK I was only 10 but can remeber it,
She looked after a little boy with a disability he could not hold his neck up but he was fantasitc.......
How things change.....
