Hi all My central heating boiler burst last night and we woke up to puddles of water EVERYWHERE Luckily play room (lounge) is ok so I am working today - we are just staying in the one room. The plumber can't come and replace til Mon/Tues so will be without heating til then. I will obviously try and get hold of some plug in heaters til then and all parents have been informed. Do you think I should inform CSSIW? Is it something they need to know about? Any thoughts anyone? Hope the weather stays mild Hollyx

Not sure if you should inform the "great ones on high", perhaps a phone call wouldn't go amiss??? Do a risk assessment first so you are a step ahead of them though (that generally impresses them) - and how you intend to keep the children safe and warm. I guess so long as you are confident that you can do these things I can't see it being a problem. What a pain for the boiler to do that at this time of year - its murphys law isn't it. You can all do lots of jumping about to keep warm!!! Stay warm xx

I am still working in the other room but with all the drilling today I just went out all day.
dreading tomorrow - more mess - but can't wait to get some heat!
I am sitting here with an electric fire (nearly sitting on it!!!) and my coat on
