I know we have touched on this subject in a few other threads but I can't find the specific answer I am looking for. Both myself and my husband are registered and he is usually around for the after school session. My question is how do I complete the paperwork so he can do school runs or be on his own with the children if I am not around. The contract I have at the moment I filled in in just my name and I got a permission form for him to have the children when I was on a course last week. I was just wondering if it's possilble to have both our names on the contract and then does that mean he can do school runs and one off care with specific permission.
Thanks
Amanda xx

Im not sure how it works down south but up here in Scotland I have my husband on my certificate and his name on my contracts and also on my Insurance so that either of us can do the school run and be left with the other kids etc.
Just make sure that the parents are all aware of the situation and have it in your portfolio for the parents pack if you do one.
My parents are all very happy about it as they know if the weathers horrible then their kids arent being dragged out to do the school run. It is also great for being able to have more outings like the Zoo and Museums etc.

I have joint policies, procedures and contracts and we both sign them with the parents and explain to the parents how it benefits them - like Fiona says, their children aren't being dragged out in the rain etc - that way we have joint responsibility - we're full and no one's questioned it yet!
