So did you both do well and sell all your stock? Hope you didn't spend all your profits at the other stalls Carol xx hi carol, i'll make this quick or i'll start crying again The table cost me £10.00, i was asked to donate a stocking which i was selling for £3.99 for their school raffle and i only sold two items which totalled £6.00. There wasn't any heating in the hall so i've spent 5 hours in the freezing cold for nothing. It's been a truly bad day, i feel really depressed and won't be doing another fair. Good luck chell, i hope you make lots of money hunny

Sorry to hear it didn't go well but don't let one bad experince put you off. I have a friend who does loads of fairs/markets, she has good ones and ones that are rubbish.
What were you selling?
Mine is tomorrow and I am very nervous. I am all packed and ready to go. I am scared of my stall looking pants as there are another 24 stalls.
Thanks everyone for your messages.

Thanks everyone for your messages. hi chell, i was selling pet christmas stockings, handmade decoupage cards and kids aprons, i heard lots of lovely comments from people as they walked past but that's all they did. One woman looked at a card said how beautiful i was BUT because there wasn't a printed message inside wouldn't buy it. I felt like screaming at her they're hand made not printed!! i wouldn't mind but they were only £2.99 so really cheap too. Daft cow (sorry but she really annoyed me lol). Here's a couple of photo's of what i was trying to sell, (but not selling on here lol). When i'm feeling a bit happier i'm going to put them in the for sale part of the forum. xx

How disappointing for you.
All that hard work you put in too.
Is there no where else you can sell them?
Post some pictures of the items on here as I'm sure you would get some orders. I want some of the aprons.
Sorry you were so cold too, you'd have thought they'd have the heating on but I suppose being a school it's on a timer.
Good luck with selling them else where

Thanks carol. Will pm you the aprons tomorrow. What i found really annoying was the things that were selling weren't craft items, they were second hand toys and sweets!!! It should have been billed as a table top sale or bring and buy and lowered the table price.

Sorry it didn't work out today Theresa.
Please don't give up going to fairs yet though, it probably just wasn't the right one.
Maybe there's a fair somewhere near you run by the RSPCA or something? There should be loads of school christmas fairs to try as well.
Don't give up, your items are brilliant!

oh Theresa, I'm so sorry it didn't work out for you today. Don't give up though. try the local school fairs. Our school doesn't charge that much for a table so I'm sure there will others near you that don't aswell.
I also don't have any pets or I would have bought one. would be interested in seeing the aprons though, could you pm me a piccie please.
Keep your chin up.
